For Jackie and Eric’s wedding at Freehand Chicago, we got to trade Pittsburgh for the streets of Chicago for the weekend. Freehand was such a cool backdrop on its own, but some of my favorite photos came from simply heading outside and wandering the city with them. We used the storefronts, sidewalks and whatever good light we found along the way, letting Chicago become part of the photos rather than just the place where the wedding happened. It was intimate, relaxed and exactly the kind of wedding day that makes traveling somewhere new to photograph feel worth it.
